Clōset App Privacy Policy Specifics
(Product Addendum)
This section applies specifically to the Clōset mobile app on iOS and Android.
A. Data Collected in Clōset
Clōset may process:
- Photos and images submitted for outfit analysis.
- Outfit analysis outputs, including cohesion scores, aesthetic classifications, color attributes, occasion context, and style patterns — linked to an anonymous device identifier.
- Optional feedback and reactions submitted in-app.
- An anonymous install identifier generated automatically by the app. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or advertising ID unless you have explicitly consented to tracking (see Section D below).
- App usage events and behavioral telemetry used for product improvement, reliability, and personalization.
- Subscription and purchase entitlement state managed by Apple App Store or Google Play.
B. What Clōset Does Not Require
No Clōset username or password account is required for core app functionality. An optional account feature is planned for a future release, which will allow cross-device personalization and expanded style history. Account creation will be opt-in only.
C. Image Processing, AI Providers, and Storage
To score your outfit, Clōset sends your photo over an encrypted connection to our server and to our AI processing partners — OpenAI, L.L.C. and Anthropic, PBC — who act as data processors on our behalf and help analyze the photo.
What travels with the photo: the details you optionally add to a Check (occasion, garment notes, colors) and, if you enabled it, a general weather summary. What never travels: your name, email address, precise location, or any account or device identifier. Location data embedded in photo files (EXIF) is removed on your device before upload. Our AI partners receive the photo through our server and cannot link it to you.
Our AI partners process your photo solely to produce your analysis. Under their API terms, they do not use your photos to train their AI models, and they are bound to data-protection standards equivalent to ours. We delete your photo from our servers immediately after your analysis; our partners may retain API inputs briefly for trust-and-safety purposes under their published policies before deletion. If you choose to share a Look, that shared image is stored for 48 hours so your link works, then deleted automatically.
Clōset retains anonymized analysis metadata — including scores, aesthetic classifications, and style signals — linked to an anonymous device identifier. This data is used to improve analysis quality and personalization over time.
You are asked for permission in the app before your first photo is sent, and you can stop sharing at any time in Settings → AI and your photo. Withdrawing pauses Outfit Checks until you agree again.
D. Advertising, Tracking, and ATT
Clōset supports rewarded ads and subscription features.
On iOS, Clōset may request permission to use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You can accept or decline this request. Declining does not affect your ability to use Clōset's core features.
On Android, equivalent device-level signals may apply depending on your device settings and consent.
For users who have not consented to tracking, Clōset does not use cross-app or cross-site tracking.
E. Style Data and Future Partnerships
Anonymized, aggregated style trend data — such as popular aesthetics, color preferences by season, or occasion patterns — may be used in internal product reporting or shared with partners in aggregate, non-identifiable form. Individual style profiles are not shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
F. User Controls
Where available in-app, you can:
- Adjust analytics and privacy preferences in Settings.
- Clear all local app data in Settings.
- Manage subscriptions through Apple or Google platform settings.
- Withdraw iOS tracking consent at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
G. Children
Clōset is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Clōset, please contact us at support@techfiventures.com and we will investigate and take appropriate action.
